Britannia isn't referenced in any written literature until her first appearance at the Battle of Quebec in 1775. Very little is known about her relationship with the British Bulldog or her whereabouts prior to the 18th century ... but they have fought together as equals for over 200 years. Like 'bulldog' she rightly holds superhero status. As well as her propensity for fighting, she has become somewhat of a fashion icon in the 21st century.
